Crafted on the windswept Hebridean island of Raasay, Scotland, this single malt Scotch whisky is the signature expression from the Isle of Raasay Distillery. Distilled from Concerto barley and composed of both peated and unpeated malt, it delivers a striking balance that reflects its coastal origins. The whisky undergoes double distillation in Frilli copper pot stills and is matured in a complex trio of cask types: first–fill rye whiskey, new Chinkapin oak, and first–fill Bordeaux red wine barrels.
The result is a sensory voyage that opens with bombastic aromas of ripe papaya, aged leather, stewed plum, and bright orange peel. On the palate, grilled peach and strawberry jam mingle with cinnamon, grape must, and a wisp of smoke, evolving toward a subtle, slightly saline finish accented by underripe pineapple. At 46.4% ABV, this non-chill filtered, natural color whisky preserves its full body and vibrant character from cask to glass.
