The Laphroaig Cirdeas 2025 release is theLore Cask Strength, a limited-edition, non-chill filtered bottling based on the distillery’s popular Lore expression. This special release was timed to coincide with the annual Fis le (Islay Festival) and is bottled at a powerful 59.6% ABV.

The Lore Cask Strength is a marriage of five different casks, which provide a complex and intense flavor profile.

• Cask types:The casks used include ex-bourbon barrels, oloroso sherry butts, European oak, and 19th-century-style quarter casks.
• Aromas:Anticipate notes of citrus, creamy vanilla, sea salt, apricot, peaches, and herbal hints like basil.
• Palate:The flavor profile includes an explosive combination of peat and salty sea spray, lemon zest, caramel, pepper, and spices like cumin, cloves, and ginger.
• Finish:The finish is long-lasting, with a citrus sweetness and Laphroaig’s signature phenolic, medicinal peat.
